The fog came, turning ordinary animals into bloodthirsty creatures, people into monsters, and generous lands into dangerous and treacherous. Soon Frey learns that at one time this beautiful country flourished under the leadership of gracious rulers - tants, but then it was ruthlessly mutilated by some evil force.

Officially christening a new metal friend with a bracelet, Frey sets out on a journey in hopes of finding his way home. Frey unexpectedly discovers a magical jewelry on his hand, endowed with the gift of speech, and also discovers a magical gift in himself that can be used to travel through the expanses of Atia.

Having mysteriously left New York, Frey Holland finds himself in an amazing country called Atia.
